Recently we heard about Shopify Marketer Dan Desilva getting sued because he had stolen images from someone else on the internet (I'm not going to give him the satisfaction of linking to him but you can google it). This absolutely amazed me that he thought he was in the right and that any images online are fair game for piracy. It also amazed me because there are so many images free for use under the creative commons license.

To help save all from a $150k lawsuit I've put together a list of a few royalty free image and other resource sites. If you have any more please leave them in the comments. You can also search.creativecommons.org for complete assurance that you are using images legally cleared for commercial purposes.

It is quite an exhaustive list but if you have found any better sites please share them in the comments.
